Representing more than 150 subject areas, its dedicated teams of Imagineers are responsible for the creation - from concept initiation through installation and commissioning - of all Disney Resorts, theme parks and attractions, cruise ships, real estate developments, regional entertainment venues, and new media projects.Disney Imagineers are passionate individuals that bring together the best aspects of creativity, innovation, and passion.This role is based in Wismar, Germany and it will require onsite 5 days a week.What You Will DoA Show Design and Production Inspector who facilitates the project delivery process for Local Entertainment Systems and Systems related to Show Systems.Using the most effective communication and technical tools available, the Show Design and Production Inspector seeks to facilitate the delivery of highly themed entertainment spaces, in a style which tirelessly strives to have the best installation possible.The candidate should be knowledgeable in all aspects of project delivery processes. A person in this position needs to understand the different types of design and construction drawings and assure that this information is correctly transferred into each phase of the building process for their respective venues. The Show Design and Production Inspector is the impetus that brings different subject areas together to solve challenges and get results. This position focuses team members and representatives from the yard to drive integration of design among all design subject areas. The Inspector facilitates efforts to ensure a streamlined process workflow from Implementation, Installation and Close-out. This position is mainly field based during the building process to monitor progress and confirm the systems are installed according to the needs of the end-user and according to ships standard. The Inspector must consistently maintain a broad perspective across all subject areas in order to ensure that all aspects of the work are covered. The Show Design and Production Inspector is the center of communication and connection for a project team during the building process.The Show Design and Production Inspectors duties include, but are not limited to (independently or with a Project or Subject area Mentor):Working closely with Show Managers, Building Mangers and representatives from the yard by supervising the buildings process closely onsite for each venue and providing updates on potential issues to each Show Manager.Attending onsite inspections and building meetings driven by the builder to address concerns which deviate from originally design.Tracking and following up on action items onsite during the building process.Facilitate relationships through interpersonal communication.Inspecting and integrating project information with internal and external organizations including project team, creative and design studios, operations, vendors and contractors, and shipyard.Leading all aspects of the on-site integration of materials needed to construct, produce, install, and commission themed venues and attractions.Center of communication and collaboration for the Project Team and the yard.Communicate with all levels of management within the project environment, with project partners, consultants, and vendors through conversation, presentation, and clear written correspondence.Communicate with Studio Leaders and subject area leads across all divisions relative to status updatesThis position is office-based in Wismar, Germany, with occasional business travel (within Europe/UK, and also transatlantic). The candidate must be willing to relocate to the Wismar area.Required Qualifications & Skills2+ years related experience electrical engineering, leadership experience, film/theatre, production, engineering, construction, project controls, or other Disney/Themed Entertainment projects (Internships will be considered)Fluency in written and spoken English languageDemonstrated leadership experience requiredHighly organized self-starter with previous leadership experienceAbility to coordinate project development process and documentation including shop drawings, document control, and punch listsDigital literacy (MS Office Suite)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to take direction, adapt to change, establish relationships, and work collaboratively with people across all levelsAbility to encourage collaboration within the project teamComfort working on a construction site under pressureAbility to think creatively and implement innovative solutionsPreferred QualificationsAbility to read and understand technical and architectural drawingsExperience with electronic drawing review software (e.g., Bluebeam Revu)Experience using AirTable, Smartsheet, or other online database programsExperience in the themed or live entertainment industryFluency in written and spoken German a languageCruise industry Project Inspection experiencePrevious project inspection experienceWillingness to relocate to Wismar, Germany for the duration of the project.EducationFour-year degree in Theatre, Business, Engineering, Environmental Design, other Entertainment or Development-related field, or equivalent work experience#LI-JB4 #J-18808-Ljbffr
