The research group of Dr. Sebastian Scheich is part of the Frankfurt Cancer Institute (FCI, ) and focuses on aggressive lymphoma biology and signaling. The lab is furthermore funded by grants from Else Krner-Fresenius-Stiftung, "Deutsche Krebshilfe" and "BMBF" and is embedded in a vibrant research environment within the FCI and maintains lively international collaborations. We apply cutting-edge technologies including genome-wide CRISPR/Cas9 screens, quantitative functional proteomics and super resolution microscopy (dSTORM, single molecule tracking, SIM) to dissect oncogenic signaling pathways, study therapy resistance mechanisms and to find novel therapeutic vulnerabilities. We are looking for a highly motivated PhD student to join our team.Your roleThe current research projects are based on a recent publication identifying N-linked glycosylation as a therapeutic target for the treatment of aggressive lymphomas (Scheich et al., Cancer Disc May 4:CD-22-1401; Phelan and Scheich et al.
